History

Founded in Thessaloniki by George Constantinidis, METECO has been moving scrap metals for 40+ years. Since 1977, the firm has remained family-owned and independent.

In the beginning, the main objective of the firm was to source scrap metals for feeding the local steel mills and foundries. Without modern technology and equipment that task required extreme physical effort and innovative spirit.

Today, METECO has a global perspective and attitude and constitutes a well-established and dynamic player in the domestic recycling market. Our employees continue to build our reputation in the secondary metals markets through their creativity, commitment, professionalism and entrepreneurial spirit.
